Social Media event Sponsored by the Ferndale Chamber of Commerce

On November 9th the Ferndale Chamber of Commerce utilized the Ferndale Event Center for an informative seminar on Social Media.
Social Media is the buzz everywhere.  Are you on board?  Are you ignoring the inevitable?
For awhile now social media is everywhere in our daily lives.  Not knowing a lot about social media I thought it would be a worth while exercise to sit down and participate in the seminar to hear what the buzz is all about.  Glenn Froehlich with spent two hours educating us on the current statistics of social media and how one can embrace this in your business.
Glenn did a great job of breaking down why we have social media and what we should do about it in our daily life.  Have you searched your business and or your name on the internet recently?

Let the Celebrations Begin!

The Ferndale Events Center is up and running and 2010 is the first full year of accepting reservations for do-it-yourself events.

Our clients range from hosting their Wedding Reception, Quinceanera, Auctions, Non-Profit Fundraiser Dinners and Trade Shows.  The Event Center is not a fit for everyone.  Even though we have table and chairs for 400 we don't have all of the amenities you would find at our local Banquet facilities.  We don't have linens, china and for that matter a cooking kitchen to feed your guests.

So our clients must be willing to be a bit creative when using the space.and step out of  their traditional planning methods.  That is exactly what has happened this year.  Here are a few pictures from two of our weddings this past year.

This Orchid Tree and floral for this wedding reception was done
by Kim Zylstra and her team at theThe Backyard Gardener

This bridal party really put a lot of work into their reception by hand pressing and buying all 375 chair covers with white satin ties for this elegant reception.
